Don't have time to work out or get to the gym? Well, not to worry. Just put on your "multi-tasking" hat and do it the Squeeze-It-In way.

Here's what Jenny Hein and Bridgette Polmar, co-founders of Squeeze-It-In have to say, "SqueezeItIn.com is a whole new way to think about exercise. With SqueezeItIn.com every chore, every errand, everything you do is an opportunity to get firmer, slimmer, stronger. Missing a day at the gym doesn’t have to mean missing a workout when you learn how to SqueezeItIn.com."

Jenny and Bridgette learned to multi-task their exercise and you can too. Do squats while blow-drying your hair, arm curls while bringing in the groceries, and ab work while watching TV. All of these exercises are explained and shown on www.SqueezeItIn.com

How to Encourage Good Social Development in Your Child

One of the most important things you can do to help your child develop into a well-rounded individual is to nurture their awareness of self and how they interact with their peers and siblings. Children should learn, at an early age, how to make simple choices and solve simple problems. They need to learn that everything isn't about only them and that they need to be respectful of others.

How can you help your child's Social Development?

* Arrange for play with other children
* Let kids participate in conversations
* Teach your child good Manners, especially Please and Thank You
* Play Games with your child
* Encourage completion of activities such as Puzzles and Worksheets
* Teach your child to Share and Take Turns
* Talk about Fears and Feelings - Puppet play is good for this
* Let your child make Simple choices
* Explain how Talking rather than Fighting can solve conflicts
* Follow routines at home

4th of July Family Fun Projects

Summertime is the perfect time for some fun family projects and activities and the 4th of July is a great time for some of this family fun. We have some great ideas from ZiggityZoom.com that the whole family can enjoy doing together.

Make a Star garland to decorate the backyard or picnic area where you will have your cookout or picnic. Tie the garland from tree to tree or posts. Let the kids help decorate some Patriotic cupcakes. Give each child a small cup of frosting, a plastic knife and some blueberries and raspberries. Or just give the kids some red candies and sprinkles for some festive cupcakes.

We love these iron-on labels and vinyl waterproof labels from Cherry Hill Designs. They are the perfect way to label kids clothes, hats, shoes and flip-flops. What better way to make sure things are easily identifiable at camp. Mark all those sleeping bags, sheets, water bottles, books, flashlights, sports equipment, pool toys, umbrellas and more.

Cute waterproof labels, that can even be personalized, can be used on tons of things, like sippy bottles, CDs and even cameras and cell phones. Labels are also available in mini sizes for small items. Lots of fun designs to choose from.

Childhood Chores Teach Family Responsibility

Even at a very early age, children like to emulate activities of both parents and their older siblings. We've all seen a two year-old try to sweep the floor or help mix cupcake batter. What better time to start nurturing this almost innate sense of family.

It is never too early to help your child develop a real sense of family responsibility. We all know kids in their teens, and even twenties, that feel a sense of 'entitlement' about everything. They act like everyone owes them and that they don't need to do their part in the family. If children are taught, as young children, that they are an integral part of the family and, as such, they have an important part in the family, then this will help them to develop a greater family bond.

Silencing Your High Standards Demons: Ways To Ask For Help

Because moms provide the fuel that makes the world go round, moms are extra susceptible to burnout. As a clinical psychologist in private practice, I have learned the hard way about burnout – giving can be wonderful, but it can also be draining. Moms have unique struggles, often carrying the burden of raising the children, running the household, and often even having paying jobs outside the home. I am offering some suggestions to help lessen your load a little so that you can reduce your own burnout.

Make A Scrapbook of Your Child's Artwork for Them To Keep

As much as we all love the artwork our kids make at school and bring home to us, we all have the same question. "What should I do with all this artwork that is piling higher and higher?" Not only do we have art from school, but art done at home, as well. And by the time you add up all the Art from a couple of kids it can get downright mind-boggling.

So, here is a great solution that will become a wonderful keepsake of your child's art to hand them when they are older. Start your Art Scrapbook for each child by personalizing the front of the Scrapbook with their name and photo, then add fun embellishment with the word ART in big letters, either cut out or some of the fun fonts you can find at the craft stores. If you haven't looked lately, there are entire sections just for Scrapbooking supplies and papers in most stores these days. Not only the craft stores, but also at Target and Walmart.

Home Haircuts for Kids - A Great Way to Save Money

If you're looking for an extra way to save some money each month, consider giving the kids haircuts at home. Mom can do it or dad can do it. It really isn't that hard and with a few haircuts under your belt you will be a pro.

For cutting boys' hair, you will need to invest in a set of hairclippers and these can be purchased at many different types of stores. Your local Walmart or Target usually carry them. For your first haircut or two, I highly suggest using one of the attachments so you don't take off any chunks of hair or make any gouges. Believe me, the learning curve for cutting your kids hair is not very long.

For girls' hair, all you need are some good hair-cutting scissors and a comb. It is much easier to cut a little girl's hair if you first wet the hair with a brush or comb, combing through to make it wet but not soaking wet. You can play Beauty Shop with your daughter and make it a fun event.

Making the Most Out of Your Time in the Kitchen- Time Management for Parents

Meal Time. Some of us may enjoy cooking, and others may despise it. Either way, getting our family fed can add stress to our day and take away time from other things we want or need to do.

There are some simple time management tips you can apply to the kitchen that can save you time making meals. I am going to give you 4 time management tips to help you make getting meals on the table faster and easier.

I encourage families to make their meals whenever possible because they are healthier, and do not cotain preservatives or additives and you know it is something your family likes.

1.When you make something, Make Double

If you are making cookie dough, pizza dough, lasagna, or some other meal, double the recipe and freeze the 2nd batch to use for another dinner or when you need to make cookies or pizza fast.

Helpful Shoe Measurement Chart for Kids Shoes

Kids feet grow at varying rates so, at any given time, a parent may ponder what size shoe a child should wear. To help keep track of your child's current shoe size, print this helpful Shoe Measurement chart from Ziggity Zoom.

Measure your child's foot often and keep the size in your wallet or purse. This will be especially helpful in case you are out shopping and find a great pair of shoes on sale.

Just print the Chart on some heavyweight paper or even regular paper, then position your child's heel on the line at the bottom of the chart. Have them stand as straight as possible, so they are not leaning back or forward. Measure both feet as go by the size of the largest foot. As you probaby know, most people have one foot that is larger than the other.
